A caretaker at St. Francis AIDS hospice brings Ben's body to the morgue. Ben died on 4/19/05 at the age of 31, two weeks short of his birthday.  He had come to the St. Francis AIDS hospice four months before and near death.  Gradually he had regained some of his strength and was moving about and eating enthusiastically.  A few days before his death he unexpectedly began detiriorating and didn't have enough strength to recover. St. Francis Care Center is a hospice for those infected with HIV/AIDS.  It has an adult wing and a childrens wing.  The adults wing has about 50 patients, and is mostly terminal cases.  Approximately 35 people die every month.  The childrens wing has 28 AIDS orphans, 26 of whom are HIV+, but undergoing anti-retroviral treatment.
